I like it hot! Hot weather, hot New Mexican chile, hot anything on cold winter days, hot pants…oh, wait – I haven’t liked them since the 70s.
So I couldn’t resist making these sea salt soaks for bath or feet. Really, each one is the same – just a different target audience on the label in case it’s meant for a themed gift.
The base is a blend of 5 salts from around the world which all contain various minerals and trace elements our bodies need. And where else in the hot desert are we going to get them? An added benefit is the hot mustard powder, which detoxifies and is used for treating colds, achy muscles, fever, and congestion. Mustard has been known to stimulate the sweat glands, opening the pores and helping the body rid itself of toxins.
After the bath, pat the skin dry with a towel and use a natural oil or lotion – (I know where you could get those!) – to moisturize your skin.
5 oz jars – one each in set
Add approximately 1/2 cup to running warm bathwater. Soak for 15 to 30 minutes, or less with sensitive skin. After bathing, shower to rinse off any residue if you just happened to over-indulge. No judgement here!
